2026 / 2027 Senior Secondary Biology Field Trip

Teachers could choose different topics accommodating students’ learning needs, each topic would occupy one whole day. If your field study course is of the residential type, i.e., lasts for two to three days, please choose two or three topics for the course.

To enrich students’ learning experience, teachers are encouraged to choose two or more topics respectively from “Study of Ecosystem” and “Biological-themed research” as a combination, for residential field study courses.

Topics on “Biological-themed research” (available in Instructional mode only):

  • The symbiotic world
  • Exploring microhabitats
  • Electron microscope eco-exploration
  • Microscope eco-exploration
  • Bioblitz

Topics on “Study of Ecosystem” (available in Instructional mode & Investigatory mode):

  • Study of a freshwater stream ecosystem
  • Study of mangrove ecosystem
  • Study of rocky shore ecosystem
  • Study of sand flat ecosystem

Online Learning Platform for Biology Field Study

www.moodle.hokoon.edu.hk

HKNEAC opens an online learning platform account for teachers and students participating in the course. Before participating in the course, students may log in to the platform to learn more about relevant knowledge, concepts, and skills, and complete the quizzes. The platform will automatically record the learning progress and scores of each student so that teachers can keep track of the learning situation of each student.
